  • Nonimmigrant (temporary) visa petitions and applications for H-1B professionals, L-1 intracompany transferrees, Canadian professionals using the NAFTA treaty, E-1 importers, and E-2 investors.

Mr. Bach is one of only 8% of California immigration attorneys who are certified by the State Bar of California as Certified Specialists in Immigration and Nationality Law. James Bach has been granted the highest A/V rating by Martindale-Hubbell, which “identifies a lawyer with very high to preeminent legal ability” reflecting “expertise, experience, integrity and overall professional excellence” and “the highest professional and ethical standards.” Mr. Bach served as a Commissioner on the State Bar's Immigration and Nationality Advisory Commission for the 2008 to 2011 term. Among other things, the Commission writes and grades the biannual California Immigration and Nationality Specialty Examination. He is also an Arbitrator for the State Bar of California (and formerly the San Francisco Bar Association), and serves on the Ethics Committee of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
